Colleen Dale
Principal
Kerrville ISD is excited to announce the appointment of Mrs. Colleen Dale as the principal of Starkey Elementary School. Dale joins KISD from Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.
Mrs. Dale brings with her a wealth of experience in education and leadership to Starkey Elementary. In her previous roles, she has served as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, and director of instruction. She is a collaborative leader experienced in building a shared vision and achieving campus goals by focusing on student supports, teacher collaboration, and community engagement. Her successes demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, and promoting academic excellence.
Dale holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Management from the University of Houston – Clear Lake and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
“I am honored to serve as the new principal of Starkey Elementary School. Starkey has a strong tradition of excellence, exceptionally dedicated educators, and a deeply supportive community. I look forward to partnering with families, staff, and students to build on that legacy-fostering an environment where every child is known, valued, and empowered to succeed,” Dale said.
Mrs. Dale is married to Lance Dale, and they have two children, Brodie and Aubrey.
Aubrey Davila
Assistant Principal
I’m Aubrey Davila, Assistant Principal here at Starkey Elementary School. I am beginning my 5th year at Starkey as the Assistant Principal, with 19 total years in Education. Before coming to Starkey I taught Kindergarten and English Language Arts in 5th and 6th grade at Tally and BT Wilson. I am truly blessed to be a Starkey Scorpion, where everyday is the best day!
